The Omega XP Laser System is a non-invasive, portable therapeutic low-level laser designed to deliver pulsing laser light energy to the target tissue. The laser has been awarded U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for use in treating certain forms of musculoskeletal tissue pain, namely shoulder tendonitis. Low-level laser therapy stimulates the cells so that the healing effect is biochemical and not thermal. The laser delivers light energy into the cell, which then converts to cellular energy. Separate probes attach to the XP base to deliver the laser energy to the body.
